Hey all, today I have a new layout for the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog! The Inspiration Station is a blog that posts an inspirational pic and you then create a project with the pic in mind. You can then enter your project on the blog for the chance to win a prize! So simple! Here is this month's inspirational pic: So I took inspiration from the colors in the pic: brown, red, yellow, orange, and I added some pink. I also used lots of circles based on the circular shape of the sun. Lastly I used nature pics for my scrapbooking layout based on the nature of the inspiration pic! Here are some close ups of my layout: For the products used on this layout... I started with some texture paste and a polka dot stencil, then added lots of different brown Shimmerz products over it for the base of my page. I then added elements from the Hip Kit Club. I finished with embellishments from Shadnee's Etsy shop!
I hope this page gives you some inspiration to create your own project for the Inspiration Station challenge! Thank you for popping on to read about my layout! Until next time, Nicole

If you don't know what the Inspiration Station is all about, it is a blog where you make a project based on the inspiration photo posted, then you can enter your project for a chance to win a prize. Here is the inspiration photo for this month: I decided to make an index card this month and I'm using all the greens from the new Felicity collection from Traci Reed Designs. I started with a green and white polka dot for my card it self. I then stacked up over on the left to make the main part of my card. I used a doily, a tag, a button, a butterfly, clover and a definition. I then made another small cluster on the right too with a circular sticker and a button. To finish my project I used the Write It Down sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. I finished it by splattering with gold spray!

Until next time, Nicole Hello all, I'm here with my project for the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog. The Inspiration Station is a blog that challenges you to create a project using an inspiration picture, then you can post your project for a chance to win that month's prize! Here is this month's inspiration pic: Here's the inspiration that I got from the pic: love, sun set, colors. I used these main elements to create my layout using a pic of my girls from November. I decided to use the Sunkissed Digital Collection from Traci Reed Designs for this page and thought that this word, sunshine was perfect for a title. All I had to do was add my U R MY from my alpha stash. I printed off flowers, hearts, a rainbow and buttons from the digital kit along with this striped paper. Then I just put them together to create my clusters. Up in the left corner I decided to roll up the corner and have some of the striped paper peeking through. I also added some pompom ribbon that matched the color scheme. To finish my layout I added journaling and the beautiful Hummingbird sequin collection from SpiegelMom Scraps!

I'm back with a new post for the Inspiration Station. The Inspiration Station is a blog where you can post a project based on the inspiration picture posted for a chance to win a prize! Here is this month's inspiration picture: I took inspiration from the cat and the colors of this picture and I also popped in a bird too! I took this pic of my kitty sitting on my craft table looking out the window, just like the cat in the scene. I used this floral paper to go with the florals from the inspiration pic from my Hip Kit Club kit. I also used red since there was some red in the pic as well. I added a doily and a little bird as well! For my title page I used a diecut of a cat on a chair and a phrase saying "Keeping cozy" for the title itself. I also used some other ephemera here as well. And my tn layout is complete.
Don't forget to hop on over to the Inspiration Station and check out the other DT projects and upload your own project for a chance to win a prize. Until next time, Nicole Hey all! I'm back with my next project for Inspiration Station. Inspiration Station is a challenge blog where you make a project based on an everyday picture and then enter it for a chance to win a prize. Here is the inspiration pic this go around: I was inspired by the mug of hot cocoa to take a pic of my afternoon chai. Then I used the "Tis the Season" Page Kit from {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club to make a Christmasy traveler's notebook layout to document in my everyday tn. I started the title page with a sheet Vicki Boutin paper which I just had some scraps of, but I wanted both green and red in my layout. The pic part of my layout was made with a sheet of paper by Pretty Little Studio. Then I embellished with diecuts from Pretty Little Studio! This layout was super simple to put together and I have a nice, warm, delicious memory recorded!
Thanks so much for coming on here to read about my process. I encourage you to check out Inspiration Station if you would like a challenge and to maybe win a prize with your project based on the pic. Until next time, Nicole Hello all! I'm definitely feeling the holiday spirt especially with the newest inspiration photo from Inspiration Station Challenge Blog: So the stockings really spoke to me and I just decorated my home this last weekend including hanging my stockings, so I had to make a traveler's notebook layout to go in my everyday journal for this! I choose to use my {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club "'Tis the Season" Page Kit for this layout, which included this Vicky Boutin Evergreen and Holly Making Spirits Bright paper. The front and the back go perfectly together! So I used this little part with some holly printing on it and the back is a super bright red polka dot. I used a Paige Evens Christmas Frame card stock cut, also from NJFB, and just cut out the holly and the stocking. I backed them with the same Vicki Boutin paper as well and added some twine to both too. I arranged my stocking over the top of the holly on the left. I placed my holly on the right page at the top. I also put my pics on the right as well. I added my title which is super long with some gold alphas from my stash and my label maker. I finished with some journaling and black splatters.
Thanks for stopping by to read about my process. You can also play along with Inspiration Station and enter your own project based on the inspiration pic and enter it for a chance to win a prize. Here is the pic for 11/21/22: For my project I decided to do a traveler's notebook layout documenting the ultimate comfort food, taco soup and cornbread! I started with my title page and used my October Hip Kit Club kit. I added the title plus some little sentiments and embellishments. For the second half of my layout I used this cute little pumpkin paper as the background and this blue leaf paper to mat my photo. I also added some Hip Kit embellishments as well!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read about my layout. Don't forget to check out the Inspiration Station and enter your own project for a chance at this time's prize! Until next month, Nicole Hello all and welcome back to my blog! Today I have created this sunflower wreath layout using the picture over at Inspiration Station Challenge Blog as my guide! The Inspiration Station is a blog that challenges you to create a project based on an everyday picture, you can the enter your picture for a chance to win a prize. This round's picture is below: Once I saw the inspiration pic, I knew that I wanted to use my Hip Kit Club October kit because It has a paper with a bunch of sunflowers that I could fussy cut. I used the little scraps of that same paper and die cut some leaves with the new October leaf die cut from Hip Kit Club as well. I drew a circle on my layout with a compass and got to word putting down my picture and sunflowers with pop squares. After those were all down I continued work on the wreath by adding the fussy cut and die cut leaves. Then I went through the embellishments from the October Hip Kit Club various kits (I had to get them all this time around) and added some more little elements here and there throughout and around the wreath and my picture. This page was perfect for documenting this everyday selfie of me and my hubby!
Thanks so much for stopping by and reading all about my layout. Don't forget to stop by the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog and enter your sunflower creation this round for a chance to win a prize! Until next time, Nicole |
Shaker ElementHello all! I am currently working on a mini album of a snow play trip we took in January. I wanted to put all kinds of different elements into it so I thought it would be a perfect time to add a shaker box. So first off I decided to use a snowflake cut file from The Cut Shoppe for this element and the first thing I did was cut some of the inside elements out to make the visible area bigger. Then I glued a piece of scrap page cover to the snowflake. I glued a bigger piece and once it was dry I then cut it down to just my shaker area. I then cut my foam dots in half to box it in.
So my snowflake is ready for my dodads! First I placed my snowflake on top of where I wanted it and took a mental note of where the shaker part would be. Then I placed a little pile of sequins and confetti where it will go.
I then pulled all those little backings off my foam dots and placed my snowflake where is supposed to go and viola, I had a beautiful little shaker snowflake! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, please let me know in the comments if there is something you would like to learn for scrapbooking!
