BOYCE TOMPSON ARBORETUM TN LAYOUTWe recently took a trip to Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior, AZ. It was a fun little trip and I decided to document in my traveler’s notebook. I used a bunch of products from my “Cozy” Premium Kit from {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club to put this layout together. I used this picture of a little stepping pad in the path of the butterfly and hummingbird garden because it was just so cute! I matted it and used a little sticker to embellish from my kit. Then I wrote the date. On the opposite page I used some silver stickers from my stash for my title. I used a couple little travel related sayings here from a sticker book in my stash and some Nuvo drops to embellish from my kit. I thought they all went perfectly together with this cute paper from my kit too! I loved this little leaf paper because it also has green leaves which we found a lot of at the Arboretum that day. And the little fall sticker is the cutest! I finished my page with journaling.

BACK TO SCHOOLI’m using the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Daydream collection to document my youngest’s first day back to school in person. I absolutely love this collection with all its happy colors and beautiful embellishments. I cut up the striped paper to put in the middle of my page. I then used some Tumbled Glass and Black Soot Distress Oxides with some water to paint beneath the blue stripes. I used Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress Oxides with water to paint above the pink stripes. I color coordinated my florals to the colored stripes. I also put some little clusters of color coordinated sequins and Nuvo drops amongst the florals as well. I finished my page with a cute and simple title! Thank you for viewing, I hope this inspires you to make something amazing!

Shaker ElementHello all! I am currently working on a mini album of a snow play trip we took in January. I wanted to put all kinds of different elements into it so I thought it would be a perfect time to add a shaker box. So first off I decided to use a snowflake cut file from The Cut Shoppe for this element and the first thing I did was cut some of the inside elements out to make the visible area bigger. Then I glued a piece of scrap page cover to the snowflake. I glued a bigger piece and once it was dry I then cut it down to just my shaker area. I then cut my foam dots in half to box it in.
So my snowflake is ready for my dodads! First I placed my snowflake on top of where I wanted it and took a mental note of where the shaker part would be. Then I placed a little pile of sequins and confetti where it will go.
I then pulled all those little backings off my foam dots and placed my snowflake where is supposed to go and viola, I had a beautiful little shaker snowflake! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, please let me know in the comments if there is something you would like to learn for scrapbooking!
